Inc., the
well-known education company that is based in the United States and
offers a worldwide programme in all aspects of canine complementary
healthcare science. Caninenergy™ Ltd. is owned and managed by Nicole Rombach who attained the Equinology
Inc. Master Equine Body Worker®
certification
in 1999 and the Caninology Canine Body Worker certification in 2004. Her
time is divided between working on clients’ horses and dogs and
organising the full curriculum of equine sports massage and other
related courses in the United Kingdom and Brazil. Nicole also teaches
some modules of the Equinology programme, including the Equine
Stretching and Range of Motion Techniques workshop and the Equine
Spine and Pelvis Dissection course. She is a chief tester for
theEquinology Equine
Body Worker® certification examinations
worldwide. She is the founding member and Chair of the United
Kingdom and Brazil divisions of the International Equine
Body Worker Association (IEBWA), which serves as a regulatory body and
network for qualified Equinology Equine
Body Workers throughout the world. NICOLE ROMBACH
Nicole attained the ITEC human massage
qualification in 1997, the EEBW Equinology Equine Body Worker® certification in 1998 and the EMEBW Equinology Master Equine Body Worker® certification in 1999 and has since taken most of the
courses in the Equinology Specialised certification series. She
holds the Caninology Canine Body Worker certification and also
completed the Masters Degree programme in Animal Manipulation (small
and large animals) from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic and
University of Wales in the United Kingdom. From 2003 to 2009 she was based in São
Paulo, Brazil where she worked in direct liaison with various
veterinary clinics, focusing on complementary therapies for sports
performance horses to Olympic level. She travelled to national
competition centres and private clients throughout Brazil and in other
South American countries. In addition, she carried out
thermographic imaging in conjunction with equine veterinarians to aid
their diagnostic procedures. Thermography was also used to assess hoof
balance, saddlefit and changes in thermal patterns following sports
therapy sessions. In addition, she regularly worked with an
established clientele of dogs. In September 2009 she enrolled at
Michigan State University for a PhD programme at the McPhail Equine
Performance Center / Large
Animal Clinical Sciences. Her main interest lies in the effect of
complementary therapies on equine locomotion and rehabilitation, with
a specific focus on equine neck pain. Nicole regularly lectures at various
universities and for professional associations and was a guest speaker
at the South American Veterinary Conference in Rio de Janeiro in 2003
and 2004 as well as at the 2004 CESMAS meeting in Oslo, Norway. Shehas
since been involved in lecturing for a leading Brazilian educational
institution on a post-graduate qualification in veterinary
physiotherapy for small and large animals and lectures at various
universities in the USA. She travels to Europe and Brazil on a
regular basis to teach some of the modules of the Equinology course
curriculum and to work on her established clientele of horses and
dogs. In her spare time she produces her own
horses for dressage and showjumping competitions, and she currently
holds Brazilian state and national titles.
